Tracking micronutrients
Calories tell you how much you ate. Micronutrients tell you whether it was any good. NutriShot AI tracks 20+ of them, vitamins and minerals, from every meal you log. There's no extra work beyond the scan you were already doing.
The Vitamins and Minerals tabs
Micronutrients are split across two tabs:
- Vitamins: A, C, D, E, K, the B-complex, folate, and more
- Minerals: calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, sodium, iodine, and more
Each nutrient shows a progress bar against your daily target, so a glance tells you what's covered and what's running short. Log meals through the day and the bars fill in as you go.
Why this matters
Most nutrition apps stop at calories and macros. Gaps in iron, vitamin D, or magnesium are the things you can't feel until they become a problem. NutriShot AI exists because its founder only discovered a severe iron deficiency after it had already made him seriously ill. Tracking the iron in every meal is how he recovered. Watching the bars daily means you catch a gap in days instead of months, and you can fix it with food while it's still small.
Ask the AI coach about a nutrient that keeps running low. It suggests foods that close that specific gap with what's left of your day.
Free vs Premium
The free plan includes a limited micronutrient view. Premium adds the full 20+ nutrient analysis, with every vitamin and mineral tracked against your targets.
