Setting your nutrition goals
NutriShot AI turns your goal into daily calorie and macro targets, then tracks everything you log against them. Your dashboard, remaining-calories view, and AI coach all work off these numbers, so getting them right is worth two minutes. There are two ways to set that goal.
The sliding scale
The simplest option is a sliding scale between weight loss and muscle gain. Pick where you sit on it, and the app sets your calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs, and fats) automatically, based on the height, weight, and activity level from your profile. Lean toward weight loss and calories tighten. Lean toward muscle gain and calories and protein come up. Somewhere in the middle works for balanced eating. Move the slider any time your goal changes. Cutting, building, and maintaining are all the same slider.
Custom targets (Premium)
If you need more control, Premium lets you set your exact calorie and macronutrient targets by hand. That matters when standard formulas don't fit your situation:
- Breastfeeding, where energy needs run higher
- Medical conditions with targets set by your care team
- Athletic performance with specific macro splits
- Working with a nutritionist who prescribes exact numbers
The AI coach respects your custom targets. Its suggestions aim at your numbers.
Changing goals later
Goals aren't locked in. Adjust the slider or your custom targets whenever life changes: a new training block, a different target weight, new advice from your care team. The dashboard, remaining-calories view, and coach all follow the new numbers immediately.
